Chamber Music Concert

Two charismatic musicians with an enviable career, the cellist Angelos Liakakis and the pianist Stephanos Thomopoulos, will be welcomed by the 3rd International Summer Music Academy in Drama on Saturday, July 6 at 9:00 p.m.
The two well-known musicians with a special mark in chamber music, collaborate in the 3rd D.Th.MA.A. in Drama performing two emblematic works of the Russian Avant-garde repertoire for cello and piano: at the center of the evening, the popular sonatas for cello and piano by Alfred Schnittke (one of the most heartbreaking and turbulent compositions of the great composer of the 20th century) and the sonata for cello and piano in D minor op. 40 (1934) by Dimitri Shostakovich.
